Here's a new trailer for Zoey and the Wind-Up Boy, the short film I co-wrote with the phenomenal Marica Petrey, who also directed. The film premieres February 3 and 4 in San Francisco, along with a reimagined Radix Troupe production of my short play Zoey in the Snow and some new musical collaborations with the band Girl Swallows Nightingale. It's just been announced that my brilliant collaborator Whitney Mosery has been chosen to take part in The Habitat Theater's 2016-2017 Directors' Playground. Many congratulations to her! We'll be working together to develop a new piece on drug-resistant superbugs. It may or may not be a love story.

This fall, I will begin work at Harvard University as a Preceptor of Expository Writing. I will teach two sections of a freshman writing course (Expos 20) of my own design that explores the legacy and politics of autobiographical art-making in the African diaspora. At Buffalo, the musical I am writing with Amma Ghartey-Tagoe Kootin and Khalil Sullivan, has been selected for a residency this summer at the Rhinebeck Writers Retreat. I am so looking forward to this amazing opportunity to continue to develop this piece. Thank you to all involved.

The Brittle Paper piece is a review of Roye Okupe's graphic novel E.X.O.; the LARB piece is an extended reflection on Disney's Zootopia and HBO's Animals. I'm very pleased to announce that my review of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' new play "War" has been published in this month's issue of Theatre Journal. I saw an early version of the play at Yale Rep; it is now about to open at Lincoln Center Theatre. My review is available through Project MUSE and on my academia.edu page.
